I Could Could Care Less About Chinese or Indian Relations Stop Outsourcing & Insourcing!!!!!!!!!!!

The GOP is the worst but there are some Democrats who are not a lot better. We have so many veterans out of work that desperately need training and work and we have so many American workers in the same boat. Outsourcing and Insourcing should be stopped immediately. It should be American workers first and not last damn it". Schumer get your head out of your ass!!!!!!!. Retire and let a real progressive take your seat. It is bad enough the GOP is screwing American workers. What is worse is a Democratic Senator who is getting senile helping the GOP on this issue. No wonder we lose elections.

Veterans did not fight and die so American jobs could be given to Chinese workers and Indian workers. Any damn idiot politician who lets a single job go overseas or brings in a single foreign worker should be run out of the country. These policies are killing us as a country. F the Chinese and Indians.

When I was at DOL my hair used to burn with all the H1b jobs that were listed when I had more than enough Americans who needed work. WE HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE FOR THE JOBS CORPORATIONS SAY THEY HAVE NOT WORKERS FOR. It is a GD lie. American workers should come first!!!!!

I have been wondering if I have been too hyperbolic lately on these labor issues. Now I believe I could not yell loud enough. I am now more than convinced that American corporations deliberately discriminate against American workers. They hate them because they have too many rights. American workers make too much money.

FDR would have had American CEO's jailed for treason. Maybe we should arrest these guys. We also should strip politicians of their office and send them buck naked into the streets for giving away American's jobs to foreign nationals and sending jobs out of the country. It is our country damn it. Not theirs to give away to our enemies. And I really do not consider India to be a friend either because they are leeching us dry.

I hear Hillary supports H1b also. That is why is did not support her because I felt she was like bill and thought free trade was ok.

I am so PO'ed right now that I could spit nails. We need to abolish all these visas and send all those workers back to their country until every American citizen has a job. I am sick sick sick of it.

We supposedly have more than one million H1b visa holders here now and corporate CEO's are demanding that we have no caps whatsoever on H1b visas.

I know with certainty that American companies would replace every American worker if they could. At DOL I used to get so mad at employers because the way they operate here.

where they throw groups of American workers to the wolves in favor of foreign interests in exchange for influence other countries

'West Wing' even had a TV episode about it, India and Pakistan were threatening each other (as they were in real life around that time), an president martin sheen at the end of the episode quietly gave India the computer industry for influence

dont beleive me? here's the transcript (Bartlet is the president)

BARTLET
John, please.

MARBURY
You've been paying the world off since the industrial age. Foreign aid,
during the Cold
War was you paying dictators to be on your side. To this very day, you pay
Korea not to
develop nuclear weapons.

BARTLET
What does India want?

MARBURY
A computer industry, and for that, they require an infrastructure, and that
is what you
can give them.

LEO
Why?

MARBURY
It's the price you pay.

LEO
For avoiding a war halfway around the world?

MARBURY
For being rich, free and alive all at the same time, and for the criminally
negligent
behavior of your Congress in not checking the proliferation of nuclear
devices.

BARTLET
Your friend, the prime minister?

MARBURY
Rikki.

BARTLET
He's gonna go for this?

MARBURY
If it's handled properly.

BARTLET
All right, you tell the ambassador we'll discuss this in three months. In
three months,
John. I don't want this to be like quid pro quo.

MARBURY
Yes, sir.

BARTLET
That's the carrot. Leo, what's the stick?

LEO
In the next 24 hours, we want to see recon photos of Indian divisions
retreating. If we
don't, we're gonna seize Indian assets and so will our NATO allies, and
G-7's gonna call
in its loans.

in the episode, American tech workers solely accountable for peace in that region

i was shocked when i saw this, as i was learning about H-1b expansion in real life

i was wondering 'gee, where'd they get the idea for THIS episode?!?', they pulled plenty of their ideas from real life, that's what made the show so popular

is intended.

Abolishing visa's and sending every one home is not the answer.

Tarrifs are the answer. Make it just as expensive for a company to make it in china and sell it here. Not counting shipping costs. Whatever it is.

And the same with the visa's. Make them cost enough that it is NOT cheaper to import labor. Make it so they pay out just as much to get a Visa as they save by hiring a cheaper foreign worker. Plus a small percentage directly to higher ed to train workers in the relevant field.

Make it unprofitable and it will stop.

I would rather charge companies for the privilege of importing their goods than pay my tax dollars to try and enforce a prohibition. An embargo on cheap Chinese cell phones would be no more successful than our attempts to prevent cheap Mexican weed from flooding the country. All it would do would be drain more of our government resources.

Its all about profit. And If a company is willing to pay more to have work done in its factory in china, so be it. The difference still ends up benefiting Us citizens when you place a tariff, as you can use it to pay for more infrastructure or education or social services, etc.

Plenty of qualified (and out of work) Americans for the jobs.

Even if their weren't, since when were Americans too stupid to learn? When did companies quit training?

There is no excuse for the H1b program!

....I haven't sent them $$$ since the year both US senators voted for IWR ( 2002?). The following year the state convention voted down an anti-war resolution.

It's delusional to think these corporate puppets are ever going to take substantive action that reins in corporate $$$. That goes for the gov too. For the entire state party apparatus, in fact.

I give the $$$ I used to give them to PDA instead.

Don't take this the wrong way. I understand you are concerned for Americans. But your post seems so anti foreigner that it feels almost Xenophobic and Nationalistic.

I'm sure I'm wrong but I'd like to know if anyone else is getting the same vibe from the OP?

Anybody else getting that vibe from this?

13. Not Really Saying That
Sun Apr 1, 2012, 07:52 AM
Apr 2012

I am not saying that no foreign workers should work here. The problem is that corporations and businesses are using foreign workers to actively replace American workers who have been working for years and are already qualified for the jobs they are doing. It is an epidemic and endemic practice.

I worked at DOL for 24 years and there was a steady stream of workers who were being laid off. Now there is nothing more humiliating than being extorted and forced to train a foreign national to do the job that you are doing. The American worker is told that they will cooperate or they will not get severance. And I will bet that they are being told indirectly that they will be blackballed if they do not comply.

I saw things the public is not generally aware of. It would be like someone coming in and telling you that you 48 hours to move from your home that there was someone from another country who needs your house more.

The situation is totally out of control. We used to get visa immigration clearance orders where there were more than enough Americans for that job. The companies just did not want American workers.

And are both ruining the economy and living standards for American workers and are corrupting the politicians so they would endorse and be complicit in their treason. Who would've thought that both Corporate America and the Republican Party (and many moderate Democrats) would stab many of their fellow Americans in the back just to line their pockets? And at the same time be responsible for strengthening China, which is seeking to become the next strong rival to America? (according to a former World Bank President, by 2050 the world's economy will be centered between China and India.)
