And don't ask them to give up the most fruitful years of their lives to work at low wages on demand if you don't want to reward them with good healthcare for the rest of their lives.

A lot of the young men and women who volunteer for our military are college-aged. They could be out partying or learning something that would set them up for the good life. Instead they are stationed wherever the US decides to send them. They make big sacrifices. They should be rewarded for it. School if they want it and lifelong low-cost healthcare are the least we should do for them.

To say nothing of those who are injured while serving. They deserve the best we can do for them.

I would like to know how many of the GOP members of Congress have children who served in the military.

How lovely is the sound of pure, simple logic.

We wouldn't need veteran's care if our foreign policy didn't produce veterans to begin with.

How about, ummmmm, the GOP party reimburse the American people re: 24 billion - shut down of the government. How about reimbursing the American people the trillions of dollars which the Bushies needed to support two wars and forgot to pay for it or even mention it with the Deficit. Soon the GOPers will put approximately 700,000 thousand contractors out of work because they refuse to pass the energy bill.

The first two would pay for more Veteran hospitals and much needed staff. But no, the GOP party won't pass any Veteran bills that would pretty much help Veterans.

Bravo Sanders! But does anyone really believe the right is going to pay any attention to common sense? They're allergic to reason. Don't just say it, club them over the head with it!!!

The total cost of ownership is never discussed when purchasing for the military. Hell, the last assholes who got us into two wars claimed they would pay for themselves.

Why does a Socialist Independent have to carry the ball for our party?
