Bronx teacher fired for asking fourth-graders for relationship advice

There’s no substitute for love.

Substitute teacher Cassandre Fiering, 45, was fired by the city after asking fourth-grade students in the Bronx for dating advice, investigators say.

Kids at Public School 189 on Steenwick Ave. told officials that on June 12, 2013, she asked them for “counsel” on her love life, according to a report by the Special Commissioner of Investigation .

“Fiering told the students that she was dating two men who were in their thirties and she needed advice on which one to choose,” according to documents obtained by the Daily News through a Freedom of Information Request.
