There is a new scam out. The claim that they want to change your passwords because of the eBay "break-in" then catch you to redirect to another site.
If you click on a link delivered to your email, be careful.

A legit email from anyone you have an account with knows your name.

(28,552 posts)... but no one should assume an email is legit just because it has your name in it. These #$%@# are crafty and they steal lots of data undetected.

(146,318 posts)It doesn't matter what email system you use. Phishers will send you those emails. Never click links in email that direct you to do something like change your password. Just go to the actual site where your account is and see what's going on.
Don't click links in email that appears to be from banks and other places. Just go to the https website for the place and do your business there.
