In my fantasy world...

Any Executive who makes more than 20 times their lowest paid employee will have their assets frozen for a year and will receive what their lowest paid employee makes as salary.

They would have to live on that wage for a year, no dipping into savings or other assets, no loans unless they would qualify with those wages. No living in their house unless they pay fair market rent for it, and the rent goes into their frozen assets.

I think it might open some eyes.

It will cause a change in thinking for a percentage but I doubt the lesson learned will be retained.
From personal experience, someone who comes from modest roots and has a very strong ethical base can be deluded, enticed, corrupted by a position of power and wealth. It's so stealthy and incremental that even they don't realize the change.
I would only hope that the lesson learned might last but I doubt it. I think it would be more effective that people in positions of power could not live an isolated life. They need to have a daily personal interaction with people who's lives are affected by decisions made by those with power.

I think some of them are good hearted people who really are oblivious and deluded about conditions for the working poor.

Others just don't give a shit.
