CNN, MSNBC, FAUX, new york times, washington post, WSJ???
Just one site, it can be print or tv, tell me one site reported it, or is the msm not going
to report it at all.

(12,381 posts)Cant find one report by the msm, i did a google search, no one is reporting on this all, he was clearly going to say the N word, but not one report at all from the msm.

(31,849 posts)Gives Santorium the "benefit of a doubt", calling the "nig" a "non-specific verbal tic", then he goes on to cite to another example of Santorium experiencing a "non-specific verbal tic", ... You guessed it, Santorium's saying "bleugh", when everyone else on Earth heard him start to say Black.
I guess it's possible that when he is talking and he envisions President Obama whooping his electoral a$$, he really could be susceptible to "non-specific verbal tics" ... But why do they always point to race and as he gets further into the a$$ whooping, why are the "non-specific verbal tics" getting worse?

(24,324 posts)of Santorum saying 'black people'; has been fixed!! I heard that video when it first 'hit the streets." This is NOT the same. The word "black" was perfectly clear in the original..

(1,485 posts)there is nothing here-nothing--I don't want to defend the turd, but this is just stupid. Do you think he is so tied up in racial hatred that he would say that word and doom his entire professional career?
We are above all this.

(7,162 posts)Remember, the Porfessional Right thinks they are invincible and unaccountable. And Limbaugh recently called someone a slut on his radio show. Why do you think Sphinctorum WOULDN'T say the "n" word publicly? He thinks he's above having to follow everyone else's rules.
No, I WON'T let this one go. He said it. If you think otherwise, you've got your head in the sand.
digonswine
(1,485 posts)nope-no dice--I suggest this stops NOW-we make idiots of ourselves otherwise---Gosh--I have never said ONE SYLLABLE accidentally without it being a window into my soul!
If this d-bag says he meant to say the n-word--fine. But until then, any reasonable person would think it a slip of the tongue.
Let's focus on what he says INTENTIONALLY!!
brettdale
(12,381 posts)I think the video is clear, he was about to say the n word, but stopped himself, and now the msm wont air ir or report it, its like they are hiding something, why not let the public decide?
emulatorloo
(44,124 posts)Maybe he was trying to say the n word, but there isn't really enough in that clip for a CNN to make a definitive statement. Just my opinion, does not mean a am a Santorum lover, as I am sure some DUer may claim.
digonswine
(1,485 posts)hey--he hates ALL PEOPLE! I mean all people without a cockandballs. This topic is dumbing us down. Enough.
digonswine
(1,485 posts)NO--the video is NOT clear-we make fools of ourselves over stupid shit like this.
Let's focus on his VERY ODIOUS BELIEFS- and not on some slip of the tongue.
OK--it might be fodder for the ignorant, but we have the others to think of.
YEAH--the MSM should NOT air it--it is the same dumb bullshit they save for our side. Keeriste--lets grow up and act like the adults in the room.

(30,439 posts)He said "anti-war, government...blah"
brettdale
(12,381 posts)They all seem to be running from it?
Cali_Democrat
(30,439 posts)I haven't been following much of the MSM today. My guess is that they're not really covering it.

(6,199 posts)if you're used to thinking and speaking in a certain way, it's hard to rein it in on command. If it were one incident I would say maybe we're reading too much into this, but this is twice now- "blah" people and now the mystery "nig-". I suspect this is how he would normally think and speak when not in the public eye, and he's having trouble reining in that impulse.
So to answer your question- yes. That is exactly what I do think.
digonswine
(1,485 posts)He may be a racist, a woman-hater, a freedom-hater, and a hypocrite--I just do not feel that this misstatement-intentional or not-is something to hang a hat upon. He has said much worse.
loyalsister
(13,390 posts)it is an easily defendable accusation. It was not an absolutely, undoubtedly blatant utterance. No respectable media outlet should run this as a story.
Opening the door to allowing halfway possibilities is a goose gander thing. These things are easy to find and reinterpret. You can bet that if this becomes a story every single speech, press conference, any available comment Obama has made would be scrubbed and they would find something to use for offensive controversy.
