This is from the Facebook page I love it when I wake up in the morning and Barack Obama is President.
Looking for good, enthusiastic liberal progressive political writers to write for an established political blog. Experience preferred but if you possess good writing skills and are motivated to write frequently, you will be considered. The blog is not affiliated with this Facebook page. Most articles will be 250 to 1000 words long.
The ideal candidate shall meet the following guidelines:
Follows politics and controversial human interest stories closely
Available to write 5 or more stories weekly
Reliable, trustworthy, easy to work with
Must not be writing for any other liberal political blog while writing for us
Good at doing research and finding pertinent information to add to your stories
Possess good writing and grammar skills and passionate about writing and politics in general
If you believe that you are a suitable candidate for the position, please send us an email to liberalpoliticalwriter@gmail.com and let us know your background. You may be asked to submit a sample of your writing on a current political story.

the veal pen is an individual's cube in the feed lot that is corporate america. the unsuspecting worker occupying the cube is kept in the dark and restrained to keep him or her tender until he or she is butchered
"jonesy is stuck in the veal pen until he closes the krupke deal. after that, he's headed to the slaughterhouse"

When I think of a veal pen, I think of hearing that liberal bloggers were told if they said anything bad about Obama, they would lose access to news releases and such from the White House. Lose their "in".

(28,784 posts)I don't think they would be of concern to DC and feel the need to "pen" them.
Someone named Shayne Black is also associated with them (not to be confused with Shane Black Hwood writer guy).

In fact, it's huffpo's biz model. the only reason to write for free is to promote your other work you're selling - then it's advertising.
