Mom acted like a house cat that had been on her own for a while. She was spotted under a low to the ground deck of a house Monday. Outside of tearing a large deck apart, it would be a waiting game to catch her. The team got advice and mom was caught Wednesday afternoon. Two kittens had been spotted but their whereabouts were unknown.
Today with some luck the kittens were caught, are doing fine, and are on their way to be reunited with mom.

I don't understand. Cats are easy to catch. You just put an empty box out . . .

The owner of the house is not an animal person. Her neighbors rented a trap and put in the time.

You don't even need bait. The emptier the box, the better.

I have wondered in passing if big cats enjoy boxes. Every domestic cat I have ever had loved boxes they seem to never tire of them. With the big cats loving boxes I wonder what the survival instinct drives this behavior or is it just a feline quirk?

(13,605 posts)13. LOL. And then there's the famous Maru who has a box fetish unusual even for a cat!
You know what they say. Half the internet is cat videos. The other half is everything else.
