Its time for another Kingfish.

I still hope that a revival and a return to the Traditional Democratic Party Values of the New Deal & The Great Society is possible,
but this hope diminishes with each passing day and with each betrayal of America's Working Class.

Does anyone else think that Alan Grayson resembles Huey Long,
and favors him in affect?

More Kingfish.
THIS is what I'm talking about.
THIS is a DEMOCRAT!

Instead of demands to Share the Wealth,
we get "We can't begrudge them their Wealth"
from our Party leadership.

In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed.

Among these are:

*The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;

*The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

*The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

*The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

*The right of every family to a decent home;

*The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

*The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

*The right to a good education.

All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.

America's own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully these and similar rights have been carried into practice for all our citizens.
--FDR, 1944, State of the Union Address

Please note that the above are stipulated as Basic Human RIGHTS to be protected by our government,
and NOT as COMMODITIES to be SOLD to Americans by For Profit Corporations.

Gawd but I MISS that Democratic Party.
There was a time in my living memory when voting FOR The Democrat
was voting FOR that above Traditional Democratic Party Values.
Sadly, this is no longer true.

Why do we need 3rd Way Democrats and New Democrats?
What good are they?
I was happy with the OLD Democrats.
These 3rd Way Democrats are nothing but the OLD Republicans I spent most of my life fighting AGAINST,
and Hillary is no different.

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans.
I want a party that will STAND UP for Working Americans."

I think many are over there on "Discussionist" checking it out tonight and over the weekend to see what they think of it.

So...those who might want to discuss this...here...might be in short supply.

Love It, though. Out of the Box thinking as what we might be looking for!

Maybe when things settle down...or tomorrow or the next day...or when.

...and the clips Lit Me UP, and made my heart beat fast.
THAT is what it used to mean to BE a DEMOCRAT!
It has been so long that I have forgotten what that FIRE feels like.

If the Party wants people to Turn Out for the Mid-terms,
THAT would do the trick.
Who CARES what the Republicans say?
If that hurts their feeling and Rush & Hannity have a conniption,
so WHAT?

Elizabeth Warren, Alan Grayson, and a few others can still ring that bell in my Democratic Soul,
but they are depressingly few in numbers.

He dis some great things for his state but he hated Roosevelt and FDR hated him right back. And aa lot of the good things he did he did through dictatorial means.

Many of the Fundamental Human Rights FDR stipulated in his Economic Bill of Rights State of the Union Address in 1944 were borrowed nearly Word for Word from those espoused by Huey Long in his 1934 Share the Wealth National Radio Address 10 years earlier.

I'm not really interested in Who hated whom, when, and why.
That is irrelevant.
I AM interested in the Traditional Values of Democratic Party in 1944,
WHY the modern Democratic Party has abandoned them,
and what will it take to return to those abandoned Values and Policies.

Those Traditional Working Class Values built the largest, wealthiest, and most Upwardly Mobile Working/Middle Class the World has ever seen,
and made the Democratic Party GREAT.
Lets try THAT again,
because Republican Lite isn't working.
