Not surprising, I guess, but if there is some major action, his full-time will go back to part-time in a heartbeat.

(37,540 posts)No one is paying attention to the republican race anymore and probably aren't going to pay much attention to the GE race before the conventions. For a large % of voter's their minds are made up and those that who are "undecided" probably aren't tuned into poilitics anyways. Good luck with the show focus, Chris.

(39,215 posts)forgotten him just about the time we have him down - I read his sponsors are coming back. We need to keep ourselves informed and active regarding all the issues. As to election coverage - they are doing such a good job of defeating themselves that it seem we should give them the air time to do it.

(30,540 posts)what are they supposed to have 24/7 coverage of Martin just for the sake of covering it? I'm sure if there is something new he will put it on.

(31,706 posts)I mean REAL evidence...not some long lost relative coming out of the weeds to say what a "good guy" Zimmerman was or another "witness" who claims they saw or heard something or heard from someone else. Most of this coverage has been conjecture and rehashing that speculation with little real fact added over the past weeks.
This is the big problem with the cables...when there's a story they glam onto it, beat it to death then move onto the next bright shiny toy. In the vaccuum of facts the cables have gone from reporting to exploiting. I'll prefer to wait for the ongoing federal investigation to do its thing...quietly and without all the emotion and ego that happens when the cables swoop in to manipulate a story.
Tweety's thing is politics...so let him get back to it...there are plenty others who will still follow this case and if and when there's real evidence and actions in the case then we'll see and hear about it.
