Joe Oliver says black people are giving him "the look." I dedicate Prince's "U Got The Look" to Joe.

Sorry, it's not on YouTube, but the video is at this URL:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x14hgh_prince-sheena-easton-u-got-the-look_creation

This "has been building up for decades," Oliver said, "George and Trayvon, they're just the match."

"The sad part is that all of this has just perpetuated the stereotype that has raised the voices of millions because of what has happened, and how young black men are portrayed," Oliver continued. "The problem is, everyone is at fault: the media. Young black men, whites.... Everyone's responsible. And we're at a point where no one is willing to step back and take a look, and take responsibility for their own actions. I mean we're at a point where millions of people are calling for justice and yet they're willing to take justice away from one man."

And how does he feel about being on what many in the African-American community would consider the wrong side of the Trayvon Martin case?

"Let's just say now I get 'the look,' when I'm recognized (by black people)," Oliver said. "There have been veiled threats; not directly towards me, but there have been individuals that have found out where I work, and they have made contact with the executives of my company, trying to get me fired because of what I'm doing."

a) He WASN'T a buddy friend pal with zimmy
b) He hadn't set eyes on zimmy since a week before the murder , so he really wasn't being honest about what he knew about simmy's physical and mental condition
c) He admitted that he decided to shill for zimmy because of a 'GUT FEELING"

I don't believe that black folks are the only ones giving him the look.

He bizarrely inserted himself into this story for no apparent reason and he has nothing of value to contribute. If he quit his job as he claims, SOMEBODY is paying this guy off.

he says:

"The problem is, everyone is at fault: the media. Young black men, whites.... Everyone's responsible. And we're at a point where no one is willing to step back and take a look, and take responsibility for their own actions.

Regarding media being at fault:

How is the media at fault? Reporting on the facts? Will the racial tempature in America decrease if the media stopped reporting on incidents like this? Probably so, but only for those pleading in that Rodney King kind of way: "Can't we all just get along?"

But the victims of discrimination and bigotry could not give a damn about your discomfort with the reporting of facts just because it makes some white folks and wanna-be post-racial negros uncomfortable.

Regarding Yong Black Men being at fault:

How? Because someone does not like how they dress or look, or even act? As if Young Black Men dress or act as a solitary collective, or any differently than Young White Men ... The music may be different; but it is all played loudly. That leaves look ... well, Young Black Men can't change being Black, nor should they want to.

Regarding Whites being at fault:

Well ... SOME white folks ARE directly at fault, while the majority are at fault for their closing their eyes to the racist crap they see on a daily basis. But there are more than a few, who recognize racist crap and call it out when they see it.
