Romney: Uninsured with preexisting conditions should be denied coverage (sounds like a death panal)

Romney: Uninsured with preexisting conditions should be denied coverage
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/03/28/romney-uninsured-with-preexisting-conditions-should-be-denied-coverage/

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Tuesday insisted that President Barack Obama’s health care reform law should be overturned and that people with preexisting conditions should be denied coverage if they had never had insurance before.

During an appearance on NBC’s Tonight Show, host Jay Leno told Romney that he knew people that had never been able to get insurance before “Obamacare” was passed.

“It seems to me like children and people with preexisting conditions should be covered,” Leno noted.

“People with preexisting conditions — as long as they’ve been insured before, they’re going to continue to have insurance,” Romney explained.

“Suppose they were never insured?” Leno asked.

“Well, if they’re 45 years old, and they show up, and they say, I want insurance, because I’ve got a heart disease, it’s like, `Hey guys, we can’t play the game like that. You’ve got to get insurance when you’re well, and if you get ill, then you’re going to be covered,’” Romney replied

Let's call it what it is - the beginning of a death panal. While Romney spends millions so his cars have elevators he'll let people just wither and die if they are too poor to afford insurance.

1. He makes it sound as though everybody has a CHOICE whether or not to have insurance --

some people just do not have the money. OR, before Obamacare, many have been denied coverage with the only option being un-affordable coverage. Literally un-affordable.

This shows me again that he just doesn't get it. He is so far removed from real life it's alarming.

And yeah, Death Panel is what it would be.

Romney has even ducked notorious Republican fluffer David Gregory, who has repeatedly tried to get Romney to appear on Meet The Press. Romney was probably shocked that Leno asked him a real question and followed up when Romney's answer didn't make sense. None of Romney's positions make any sense at all if the questioner probes beyond the talking points. Romney after all is the guy who promotes "self deportation" to solve the immigration situation.

9. He's sort of saying ins. is transferable from one co. to the next. Wait...that's not a free market!

He has committed a sin against the free market, the ability of ins. co. #2 to deny coverage!

This man has a heart of gold. Ask his dog.

11. If you weren't sharp/wealthy enough to have insurance already, then you are worthless

and you deserve to die. This is Republican thinking in a nutshell. Only surprise is that Mittens changed his tune so dramatically since his governor days. Well, maybe not a surprise...
