(115,748 posts)I have friends in Sutton - the tornado didn't touch the ground, but lots of trees down, damage to houses and cars. Scary stuff, be careful.

(16,038 posts)And in Grand Island on the night of June 3rd 1980. These and others since have impressed the reality of what a tornado can do. ..still living on the plains and vigilant during tornado warnings. ..
edit. ..just got an alert on my phone that we are in a tornado warning 25 miles north of Wichita.

(154,021 posts)Norman OK earlier issued watches. (Fun fact, the NWS at Norman is actually tornado central. When they speak, people pay attention)
I posted it earlier. Let me check if there is anything from local NWS as to size of cell and all that.
