CNN is literally driving people insane (missing plane)

Were you on the fence about whether or not people can be completely horrible and irrational during times of tragedy for no fucking reason whatsoever? Don't worry—we've got just thing to put you over the edge.

The girlfriend of a man who was on Malaysian Flight 370 is getting actual death threats now. Yes, you read that correctly. A WOMAN IS GETTING DEATH THREATS BECAUSE HER BOYFRIEND WAS ON A PLANE THAT WENT MISSING. Via NBC:

Sarah Bajc received an instant message warning that "I'm going to come and kill you next" about two weeks after the Malaysia Airlines plane disappeared on March 8. Several pornographic images and creepy phone calls were also received from the same China-based number. Bajc was preparing to move from Beijing to live with passenger Philip Wood, a 50-year-old Texas native and IBM Malaysia employee, in Kuala Lumpur at the time of the tragedy. "It was just another straw on the camel's back, very upsetting," Bajc told NBC News.

. . .

Her home was also broken into twice. This is just terrifying:

"Whoever came wasn't very careful because I'm a real neat freak, so it was immediately apparent to me that some things had been moved," she said. "My housekeeper was out of town so it couldn't have been her and I got home before my son got back. The password on my safe had been reset which happens when you try the wrong code three times." Bajc added: "The second time was a couple weeks later and my neighbor saw two people leaving my apartment. I have no illusions of privacy here [in Beijing]."
The calls finally stopped after an FBI agent was assigned to her case. Thank goodness for that at least

What more evidence is needed to show cable news literally drives people over the edge?

i was watching recently and one of them said plane by accident when they were discussing that hot air balloon so i'm sure it's making themselves a bit crazy also.

Said that her boyfriend's phone called her from somewhere near Diego Garcia?

Look, lots of people lost a lot of loved ones and they have no answers. It isn't the news driving people insane, it is that lack of news.

How in the hell can an airplane go totally missing this day and age? RE

It went missing because it went off its flight path and crashed somewhere with next to nothing revealing where it went. It's really easy to lose a plane that went off its flight path and flew for hours with no working "GPS" Particularly when it likely crashed SOMEWHERE in a really really big ass ocean.

Force CNN to start airing honest commercials for the channel. By which I mean a commercial that consists of nothing but this:
