Geraldo to Eric Bolling: You Want to Cut Obama’s Throat in Every Story We Do! That’s Your Job!

Sitting in for Bill O’Reilly Friday night Eric Bolling found a way to place the blame for the problems at the VA on President Obama, a standard practice at Fox News where they can find a link that goes back to the President for anything that goes wrong anywhere in the world. What was surprising was that Geraldo Rivera called him on it, telling him, “you want to cut Obama’s throat in every story we do! That’s your job! You see that as your holy mission.”

The topic of discussion was the revelation that in Phoenix, Arizona the VA hospital had been keeping two sets of records, one showing that they were in compliance with VA standards in regard to wait times for veterans to see a doctor and a second which showed the true waiting periods which were much longer. It was also found that at least 40 veterans had died while waiting to receive the care they were entitled to.

Bolling was outraged that VA Secretary Eric Shinseki had not yet resigned in disgrace although all indications are that he had been unaware of what was going on and took action to investigate and correct the problems as soon as he was made aware of the situation. He said that he is willing to give Shinseki the respect he is due as a twice wounded and decorated Vietnam veteran but that he should resign for allowing this to happen.

When Geraldo would not concede that point to him he went on the attack against the President saying that he has said the buck stops at him and that therefore it is his fault. It was at this point that Rivera blew up and made his point that the only thing on Bolling’s agenda was to make the President look bad, no matter what.
