that some Dems leave little to choose vis-a-vis Repubs, but I look for real progressives where I can to vote for.

Oh, and I won't vote for a Republican...ever.

Voted for PBO twice but won't vote in midterms. No difference between the parties, they're all corrupt, NSA spying, etc.
Even when I remind him he has health care (which he needs and uses) thanks to the Democratic Party. Even with the chance to vote against the despised Tom Corbett. Nope, there's no difference. Head, meet wall.

I could threaten to stop paying his car insurance and cell phone. 24 and still at home, working FT and taking classes too.
Seriously, I think some Millennials feel it's ok to let the GOP destroy the country so the "real" progressives can swoop in and fix everything afterwards. At my age (50s) I don't have time for this! He just doesn't get that sometimes you have to support the lesser of two evils because the other side is truly evil. Sigh.

Life seems pretty darn long when you're in your twenties. Doesn't it? I remember politics being the last thing on my mind at that age too. Oh well, I hope you get through to him by election day.

even some of my professors have admitted that the two parties are the farthest apart they've ever been. If they are so similar as some allege, then why has gridlock become the norm in D.C? Why have we seen the fewest number of bills passed in Congress since...ever?
Make no mistake--there are plenty of differences between what the two parties support. One has embraced equality, while the other has embraced discrimination in the name of "freedom". One wants stricter gun laws, while the other does not. One has pushed for a jobs bill, while the other has blocked it. Need I go on?
The Koch Brothers and Sheldon Adelson can definitely spot the numerous differences between the Democratic Party and Republican Party.
