Wearing ostrich-skin cowboy boots, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz turned up in Nebraska on Friday to endorse Pete Ricketts' bid to be the state's next governor.
The Texas Republican and Tea Party champion joined Ricketts and various Nebraska politicians for a rally in Omaha.
It was just days after Attorney General Jon Bruning, Ricketts' top rival for the Republican nomination, scored the coveted endorsement of Gov. Dave Heineman.
Cruz fired up about 200 Ricketts supporters at Friday's rally with a mix of pointed rhetoric and humorous one-liners.
