He was right the law doesn't apply in this case (if properly done) but he neglects the increase in justified murders since the law took effect.

They went from 30 claims of self defense to 90, most of which were still convicted despite said claims.

It appears, given information coming out daily, Zimmerman does not have a defense and that key higher ups either intentionally, or unintentionally conspired to have Zimmerman walk free and worked to protect Zimmerman.

4. I wish someone would explain what is it that we have learned

that shows that Zimmerman can't successfully claim self-defense, let alone that there was some police cover-up or conspiracy. I haven't seen it.

Not being snarky. I mean it:

Video: Zimmerman shows no signs of injury to head or nose, no blood on clothes. Looks neat and well pressed, casual and relaxed. Laughing at one point. No sign of just having been in the "fight for his life" that his father claimed earlier today.

Police claimed video was 4 hours after murder. Video clock proves they are lying; it's about half an hour after.
The police tested Trayvon for drugs. They didn't test Zimmerman -- the killer -- for drugs.
Police identified Trayvon within hours. They waited 3 days to notify his parents.

Zimmerman claims he had headed back to his truck, that Trayvon attacked him, had him on his back and was beating him, and that his jacket fell open and when Trayvon saw his gun, Trayvon went for it and he shot him in self defense. He shot *upward* into his chest, yet there is no blood on his gray shirt just half an hour later on the video. Let me repeat that: He claims that Trayvon was on top of him, that he shot upward into his chest, yet no blood spattered back onto his shirt, no blood pour from the wound onto his shirt, and Trayvon's dead body on top of his did not leave any blood on his shirt.

Multiple witnesses were not contacted or interviewed by police after numerous calls. This includes Trayvon's call to his girlfriend, which cell phone records prove occurred within 1 minute of his death. They did not interview his girlfriend, who was on the phone with him when this took place.

Eye witness: Saw Zimmerman follow Trayvon, "top him" with Trayvon face down. Didn't see flash but heard gunshot. Saw man on top get to his feet and walk by witness looking uninjured, but a little nervous and running his hand over his head. REalized it was the boy who'd been shot.

Eye witness: Saw Trayvon on ground crying and screaming for help. Started to run to him, but his dog got off leash. Turned to catch his dog and while turned away heard the shot and the crying stopped.

Funeral director: there were NO injuries on Trayvon's hands or knuckles. Nothing to indicate he'd punched or attacked anybody.

And this is just what I can remember off the top of my head.

Some of what you claim contradicts what I have read, though.

I have read that that eye witness does not claim to have seen who was on top of whom.

I have read that that eye witness (according to his mother) does not claim to know who was screaming for help.

No doubt the police investigation royally sucked, but that doesn't mean that Zimmerman didn't shoot Martin in self-defense, as he claims. As for his seemingly exaggerated injuries, I assume that his physician will testify about whether his nose was broken and whether he had a cut on the back of his head.
