The Problem With SYG law is that it takes the power

to determine self defense from the hands of a jury, and gives that power, not only to your local law enforcement, but to vigilantes like Zimmerman.

We can't allow this. It's uncivilized.

I personally would have done everything in my power to get a "Community Patrol" person like a Zimmerman OUT of that role in my community.

Maybe there was a REASON the Police Department rejected you, Zimmerman?

to college in another state, and there were people who actually felt great about police, all their lives.

My upbringing was in a culture where the cops were seen as enemy. They harassed us quite a bit. So you had to hide from them even when you're doing nothing. They'd take our pictures up against the wall for no reason, and put in a catalogue.

I can't imagine giving that kind of power to the police.

People who have grown up with a healthy relationship with law enforcement, the way its supposed to be, may feel a different about it.

Zimmerman for homicide, it is fucking applying right now. And if the light had never come on, SYG would have "applied" in this case forever.
