Maybe if his father was a cop, you'd hear that. But as a judge they caught the criminal and is now standing trial.

I think he was trying to make points for himself. He was a wannabe mall cop.

Good, that makes me feel better that he didn't have a hand in criminal cases.

He worked in the system his whole life and probably has some prejudices. Is he not allowed to have opinions (especially within his home) if he's not involved in criminal cases?

AFIK he worked as a magistrate for six years, prior to retirement. He was a military man. I haven't seen any detailed bio on him. I don't find any record of him in Martindale's directory of attorneys.

I don't know about you, but I see cases every day where someone did something really wrong, was taken to court, found guilty, and got nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Just how many people did he send to jail, just so they 'wouldn't get away with it' is the question I have. How many people did Judge Papa Zimm send down the river that were innocent? Not that he did, of course, but I do wonder now if we have innocent people in jail because of Judge Papa Zimm?

Simply put the man is a vigilante. He was a self styled 'protector' of values that he does not truly possess. He has neither the wisdom nor integrity to uphold said values. It's a psychological complex that allows him to feel like a hero. In the end it's all about himself. He needs to feel great for some reason or other, to stand out above other people so he grabs a gun and calls himself a 'defender'. He's nothing of the sort. But in order to continue to live in his fantasy of being 'protector' and upholder of justice he needs to feel like someone else is in the wrong. It's not hard to unravel.

it seems he's getting away with it just as they, his racist killer predecessors, got away with it (cold blooded murder) back in the day.

Think of victims like Emmett Till, Medger Evers, James Meredith and Vernon Jordan (both shot but not killed), the Orangeburg massacre victims, Lemuel Penn, The Philadelphia Mississippi 3 (Schwermer, Goodwin, Cheney), MLK...
