I can remember watching him early on, stumbling and misspeaking, and remember thinking that no impersonator could top that...

but his delivery, timing, and memorization of the joke are what really made it work. He delivered it with his head up and he engaged the audience.

It was much better seeing and hearing it than just reading it off this web page.

Watching that other "comedian" bury his nose in his notes, and fumble his way through his routines, just made Obama's delivery that much better by comparison.

There's more to comedy than what's written down on paper.

intelligent at off-the-cuff observations and humor. I was generally curious as to who the small group of writers was -- in the past the WH has brought in some folks with experience at this.

Although there's another thread crowing about how great that guy was/is. Maybe it's a sign of age, but a lot of what he said didn't strike me as all that funny...

POTUS, FLOTUS, AND VPOTUS, though -- spot on. I like Joe's yellow sports car and cool shades.

He's reading from notesmand apologized after he made a joke about Biden. He doesn't seem like a professional comedian at all.
