Nylon, for example, is made out of synthetic polymers known generically as aliphatic polyamides. Aliphatic polyamides! A quick Google search found a link between that word, aliphatic, and brain cancer. BRAIN CANCER. Polypropylenes have been linked to colorectal cancer: early epidemiological studies of polypropylene production workers and carpet manufacturing employees who use polypropylene reported a significant excess of colorectal cancer. And this link tells me that polyester is the worst fabric you can wear, in a list of TOXIC FABRICS. And Im supposed to put this up against my NEWBORN BABYS SKIN? No way.
This is a big one, so Im going to have to break it down.
a) Kids with autism have overwhelmingly spent time in car seats. Every single child I know who has autism spent time in car seats, most of them for many hours EVERY WEEK. Think about how many hours of toxic chemicals that adds up to by the time the child is 18 months old, when signs of autism first tend to show up.

(28,979 posts)We ingest a lot of plastic. I am not going to totally pick on the moms for wondering if plastic is involved in some immune system problems. It makes some sense given the rise of sensitivities and allergies in America.
I hope they don't refuse to buckle up their infants however. Car crashes are bad too.

She couldn't breastfeed, so she uses glass bottles with rubber nipples. Nothing is perfect, but the idea is to reduce risk when you can.

(28,979 posts)And I understand why the moms fear for their kids. Saving them from childhood diseases while contaminating them with chemicals. Extending the length of their lives, but not the quality. I so feel for the babies being born today. What a world we are leaving them.

Isn't that how the herd effect works?
