All rightwingers cheat everybody they can, and while they get a kick out of cheating minorities and women, they will cheat anybody

There's this concept called ethics ... I don't think that it's taught in schools much anymore.

I was born and reared in Wilkinson County MS. My great-great-granddaddy was a slave owner -- the 1860 slave census listed 83 slaves that he owned.

My granddaddy was a grocer. He operated a small grocery store in Mississippi and, a few miles across the state line in Louisiana, he had a huge, old county general store that sold everything from caskets to shoes to groceries to guns and ammo.

And old black woman worked in the store . . . she did a little sweeping and cleaning, dusting, cooked dinner (dinner is what you damnyankees call "lunch&quot for Granddad and me. She lived in a tiny shack behind the store.

One day she said to me: "You know why so many peoples trades (shops) with yo' granddaddy? Because he don't cheat you."

That was a long time ago -- around 1953 or '54. Brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it.
