It was bad enough they didn't have ONE person giving an anti-death penalty viewpoint; just a bunch of journalists from the south (Texan/Oklahoma) who opined that an anti-DP stance would be political suicide in Texas, or that they spent the entire segment waffling about the METHOD by which the DP was administered being the question at hand, but where I REALLY lost it and started screaming at the radio was when they brought up beloved leader GW and Carla Fay Tucker.
Not only did they neglect to mention the odious frat boys mocking of her pleading for her life, but one commentator (the reporter/op-ed guy from Texas) had the audacity to say, in explaining how GW did not grant her a reprieve, that maybe he let the execution go ahead for political reasons, or out of a conviction that it was morally the right thing to do!
of course, you can imagine what I was screaming at the radio; "What the f*** is that war criminal and the words "morally correct decision" doing together in the same sentence?"
Infuriating.

(146,218 posts)The major guest was a man who has done extensive research on how executions go wrong and he was anti-DP for that and other reasons.
I heard not one pro-DP word.
