Seems to me the EMT's that came to the scene to treat Zimmerman and perhaps move Martin's body would have had to file some report of their actions. Has this report turned up?

(6,086 posts)His story is that Trayvon was on top of him whipping his @ss and he shot him. How is it that there's NOT.ONE.IOTA.OF.BLOOD.ON.HIM.ANYWHERE? His shirt is a light color; IT WOULD be apparent.

(30,674 posts)..." What is known is that these officials visited the crime scene and then told police to release Zimmerman without taking any pictures of the alleged broken nose or cut head, without getting blood samples from the bloody t-shirt at least one officer alleges he saw, without even performing the most basic investigative procedures. (1,138 posts)I do not like to speculate but I will. To illustrate why I never trust media reports. He said Zimmerman reached in his pocket for his phone and then Trevan punched him.
If this is true it could be that even though Zimmermans gun was concealed. Trevan could have thought he was going for a gun. If so it seems reasonable to me that Trevan would punch him in the nose and pin him down to prevent him from getting his gun. That is speculation and you would have to believe Zimmermans father. Just a theory. This is what the new prosecutors are having to sort out. Separating theory from provable facts. Using real evidence. Not easy.

(5,029 posts)Zimmerman probably needed stitches but they waited too long and the wounds had already started healing themselves.
He must have some super healing powers.

(22,144 posts)Until this video came out, we had no empirical data about what injuries Zimmerman might have had. We don't know if pictures were taken or not, what the EMS or autopsy report says, what forensics test were done...we just don't know.
Regardless, he sure looked uninjured and clean for a guy who was being beaten not all that long before the video was taken

Cali_Democrat
(30,439 posts)would that mean there's no official documentation of his injuries?

That means AMA.

(36,063 posts)the part that confuses me is that an account I read about the video said he apparently he arrived at the SPD -4- hours after the incident.
What is with that? He clearly didn't have injuries that took hours of first aid.
Why would they keep a shooter at the scene for hours before taking him to the station for his statement?
The timeline seems odd to me.

(708 posts)Whatever medical records the EMTs have, whatever reports they have with relation to any injuries, illnesses, or treatments of Zimmerman, even if they only gave him a band-aid, are protected under HIPAA. If they go out and start broadcasting that information, they violate some pretty serious federal law.
AFAIK, that report can't even be used in court unless either Zimmerman either signs a release or a judge issues a subpoena for the records.

(53,339 posts)The HIPAA protections only go so far. They do have exceptions.

(12,461 posts)and a bandage on his head. Any of you remember when Geraldo was punched in the nose and the packing of gauze and tape over his nose, immediate bruising of the eyes. he looked like he was punched in the face by a mule.
I have never had my nose broken, I have had a few episodes of nose bleeds, and had shoved what tissue I could up my nose to stop the flow.

(1,273 posts)And if anyone on here had the report and posted any part of it, they'd be in violation of Federal Law. HIPAA is no joke and they are quite serious about keeping health info confidential. They can't even reveal that he was treated or not.
So, don't let the fact that you haven't seen it lead you to believe it doesn't exist.

(23,278 posts)therefore, there were a LOT of emergency staff there.i talked to my friend,a cop for over 30 years. He said"no way in hell I would have touched a guy at the scene, except to stop bleeding"...Either the man would be seen at the jail admitting center by a nurse practitioner and forensic officer,at which time samples would be taken and xrays done.If they didn't have that access, the officers would have taken the prisoner to the emergency room, along with forensic instructions. We are talking a fatality. There are a few officers involved in an investigation...especially the murder of a minor.
