Incredible interview with Zimmerman's father

This has to be read to be believed. Be sure to watch the video of George Zimmerman at the police station - which shows that he has no apparent injuries.

George's father says this today:

Sanford, FL -- ... At some point when all this settles, they’ll say, ‘George Zimmerman is a pretty nice guy.”

Trayvon “punched him in the nose, his nose was broken, and he was knocked to the concrete.” Robert Zimmerman said. “It’s my understanding Trayvon Martin got on top of him and just started beating him in the face, in his nose, hitting his head on the concrete.”

..............

“After nearly a minute of being beaten,” Robert Zimmerman said George tried – with Trayvon still on top of him – to move away from the concrete onto the grass. In doing so, the gun he kept in a holster on his waist was exposed.

“Trayvon Martin said something to the effect of ‘you’re going to die now’ or you’re gonna die tonight’ -- something to that effect,” he said. “He continued to beat George. At some point, George pulled his pistol and did what he did.”

Incredible. Robert Zimmerman could have said, "I'm so sorry for their loss" but that was too much for him. He had to blame them for their "hate."

The man sounds like he has serious mental problems. He thinks that people will think his son is "a pretty nice guy"when this is all over.

Ugly, foul, unapologetic racism. The posters don't seem to understand how other people react to their vile comments. Our country is now divided into two groups - people who spout the most extreme hateful racism imaginable and see nothing wrong with it, and the rest of us.

Based on polls, it seems to be about 30% of the voting public who are extremist racists. The same people who think that Obama is a Muslim and still think that Iraq had WMD - or don't really care, as in their eyes the only good brown person is a dead brown person.

I'm worried about where this is going to end. The 30% clearly hope for a race war.

Race war is merely a neo-nazi fantasy. It won't happen. And if they actually acted, instead of just talking about it, they'd be squashed like a bug.

People around the country are taking to the streets to march for justice for Trayvon. I marched Monday, and will march again on Sunday. And we'll keep marching until justice prevails.

Note, too: Change.org says the petition started by Trayvon's parents is their fastest-growing petition ever. I just checked, and it now has 2,214,355 signatures. (For anyone who hasn't signed yet, you can do so here: http://www.change.org/petitions/prosecute-the-killer-of-our-son-17-year-old-trayvon-martin?utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=share_petition&utm_term=own_wall .)

on him, his clothes neat and pressed, no blood, no grass stains, no wound to the back of his head, nothing! Clean and calm!

All the father ended up doing was coming off as a huge liar (a trait he may have passed on to his son?) and disgracing himself. This guy was a magistrate in VA? I say some law school students ought to review HIS convictions, to find out how many black people he convicted as compared to whites or other races. If his conviction rate of blacks is disproportional, then maybe Georgie learned his "goon" (cough) hating ways from Pops!

Your mother raised you right--that's why she would defend you! You KNOW there's no way you could be involved in such a thing! You KNOW you were always a good kid growing up! You made your bed, cleaned your room, did your homework, took out the garbage, helped bring in the groceries, and picked up the dog poop after walking the dog, I'm sure!

Beyond the great leap between what the surveillance video shows and what Zimmerman's father and others in his camp have said about the confrontation (lack of evident injury matching Zimmerman's story), there is another more important discrepancy:

If Trayvon was indeed on top of Zimmerman beating him repeatedly in the face when Zimmerman shot him in the chest at close range...then where is the evidence of Martin's blood on Zimmerman's clothing in the surveillance video? Think about the position of the bodies when the gun went off. Think about blood following the rules of gravity.

shirt or jacket after a broken nose there would be a gusher and if he also had a head wound it would also have been very
bloody. What about the site. Is there blood all over the concrete??

I think Zimmerman is digging a deeper hole by lying to everyone.

who will believe anything against a young black man. This is the mindset we're witnessing. Robert Zimmerman can't really believe that anybody thinks that his son did anything wrong because he lives in a bubble with people who believe that black teens are dangerous and that white people have a right to kill them.

And so far, Robert Zimmerman has been proven correct. The Sanford police department and the DA apparently agreed. In his mind, it's only the "black people" like President Obama and the Congressional Black Caucus who are "causing trouble" over this.

That's the sad truth about this.
