UCLA Rejects $3M Pledge From Sterling

UCLA officials have rejected a $3 million donation pledge Clippers owner Donald Sterling recently made to the university for kidney research, saying the racially charged comments he made in a recorded telephone conversation were "divisive and hurtful."

The university announced it will return the initial $425,000 payment Sterling made, and will not accept the balance of the money, which had been earmarked for the university's Division of Nephrology.

"Mr. Sterling's divisive and hurtful comments demonstrate that he does not share UCLA's core values as a public university that fosters diversity, inclusion and respect," according to UCLA.

University officials said it they have been receiving inquiries about an advertisement that appeared in Sunday's Los Angeles Times, "falsely suggesting that it was UCLA publicly thanking him for the gift.

The putrid racist should be a complete outcast, his money worthless in buying power and influence. May he spend the rest of his days counting his millions that, in substance, cannot buy him what he most wants; power, influence, prestige, respect.
