They have already given Sterling a lifetime achievement award and were gonna give him a second one. They knew what kind of a person he is. I don't blame them. These awards are a means to an end. The jobs went overseas. This took away so much money from communities. It's so pathetic what these billionaires have done to us. The NAACP needs money to get their good works done. People like Sterling see us all as tiny little play things to play their games.
It's only gonna get worse with the supreme court's McCutcheon decision. It's so depressing.

(63,912 posts)somebody didn't do their homework on the guy or if they DID know what he was up to, they should be fired. This reflects badly on the organization's leadership. Also, the Board of Directors' leadership. Where were they?
I worked for nonprofit organizations for many years, raising money. On one occasion we had a board member whose actions to "help" a donor were to me truly not kosher. It was one reason (not the only one) that I left and went to work elsewhere...
