Labor Leaders Remember 61 Iowa Workers Who Died on the Job

Workplace safety should be a priority. Regardless of the cost.

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Names read from a single sheet of paper, is never enough to capture the depth of lives cut short.

Dubuque Federation of Labor's Bruce Clark said, "So many who died were young people who we're just starting families. "

61 Iowa workers died while on the job in 2013, including Rick and Adam Schneider. The father and son both died in a grain bin accident in Waverly.
