Donald Sterling is NOT a Democrat!

Yep, you guessed it - the right-wingers have a new half-assed meme they're trying to float. They're claiming that uber-racist NBA owner Donald Sterling is a Democrat.

How did they arrive at this, umm, logic? His political donations.

All two of them.

In the 1990s.

Totalling $6000.

One donation was to California governor Gray Davis. Not much of a stretch here, as Sterling has a history of donating money to buy himself favors (i.e. the NAACP).

The other was to New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley, a former star in the NBA who received many donations from people connected with the league.

So, in the eyes of Wingnutistan, this makes him a hardcore Democrat? Hardly.

If he had donated to Repugs in the 90's, what would we be doing?

Not everything is about politics. Sometimes it's just about ignorant fools. We'd do well to remember that from time to time.

Some here may find that hard to believe, but people like that do exist.

This here is a liberal conspiracy to transfer wealth from white middle class families over to underground lizard people who rule the world. I'll be damned if I allow the liberals, the underground lizard people, warren buffett, the sierra club and rogue elements of the Anunnaki take everything we's done worked hard fer.

It's bad enough we's got a Precedent who was born in Kenya by JP Morgan Chase, his real daddy is Jimmi Hendrix who was an admitted CIA agent working with the Anunnaki but they don't want you knownin' that, they put brain chips in the vaccines to read our minds using cellphones too!

12. Just goes to show how incredibly silly it is to make every facet of life about politics.

I'm sure the we would have countless threads showing why this "proved" something or was politically significant in some way if his donations from 20 years ago were to two Republicans.

I just don't think this guy id political. I feel it is stupid how some people are trying to paint him as some racist lefty. I certainly wouldn't call him a rabid wingnut if he donated $6k to Republicans. Too much of a stretch.

I found 3 contributions but none to a presidential candidate. The guy is a cheap ass rich guy with his $1000 and $2000 contributions given his wealth. Probably felt he HAD to make those 3 contributions and gave as little as he thought he could get away with.
