(145,253 posts)I realize this person was put in the supreme court for just one reason and that was to totally corrupt the justice system. He is being very successful with his corruption and being successful he should be so proud of himself, but what about morals Mr. Roberts, you have none and don't think for a minute that your friends and colleagues don't know this and it would be funny if you knew what those people really thought of you.

(45,274 posts)People do evil to others for all sorts of reasons that don't necessarily involve money. Twisted sexuality, rage, power & control, sheer perverted amusement, etc.

(45,274 posts)is to end up in a tautology: All behavior is motivated. Well, duh. A benevolent act is motivated by the desire to feel good. Etc. In other words, you end up with untestable statements. It is not possible to hypothesize a counter-example, so your theory is unfalsifiable, which is another way of saying "meaningless."
