Speaking with Newsmax host Steve Malzberg yesterday, former House GOP leader Tom DeLay said that President Obama’s “lawlessness” is prompting people to take up arms in Nevada to defend rancher Cliven Bundy, whose refusal to abide by court orders or recognize the federal government has turned him into a right-wing hero.

Fox News pundit Todd Starnes has championed lawless rancher Cliven Bundy’s armed standoff with the Bureau of Land Management, even going as so far as to claim that “they used to string folks up” for what the BLM did to Bundy. In his radio alert yesterday, Starnes attacked the “government agents waging jihad” against Bundy, while dismissing the “legalese” surrounding Bundy’s extremist legal claims.
