Ginni Thomas just had her tax-exempt status revoked. Good for the IRS.

Yeah....the rightwing blogosphere is all aflutter because Gary Aldrich, the former FBI agent who claimed that Hillary Clinton decorated the White House with condoms and crackpipes at Christmas just had his group's tax exempt status revoked---

The Patrick Henry Center for Individual Liberty, based in Manassas, Va., “has shown a pattern of deliberate and consistent intervention in political campaigns” and made “repeated statements supporting or opposing various candidates by expressing its opinion of the respective candidate’s character and qualifications,” according to a written determination released by the IRS Friday.

Who really gives a shit about that has-been though, right?????

It's who he merged with in 2010---Ginni Thomas's Liberty Central, the anti-ACA, Tea Party front that both she and Clarence used to funnel cash through.

The center’s most recent tax return disclosed $343,503 in revenue for tax year 2012. In recent years, it’s become aligned with the Tea Party movement, contributing to at least one of the groups targeted for extra scrutiny by the IRS beginning in 2010. Also in 2010, the Patrick Henry Center merged with Liberty Central, an advocacy group headed by Virginia Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Former U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese serves on the center’s board.

One can only hope that some intrepid reporter, somewhere, will follow this story.

His wife and his activities seem to show that he shouldn't be in a position that requires at least some impartiality. Instead he and Scalia seem to thrive on inappropriate behavior.

That further undermines what little confidence the public has left in the SCOTUS. IMO an impeachment is necessary to avoid that and also to send a message to the rest of the Justices, present and future. Otherwise, it set and will remain a precedent that, IMO, is very bad.

I don't see this as having a thing to do with Hillary, or with Obama.

Issues of IRS behavior aside, some of the testimony I heard from those wingers (C-Span) during that mess made my jaw drop. Nationwide conference calls every Sunday night to cheer each other on and strategize on things like voter registration and challenging at the polls people who want to vote?

*shudder*

I had read.. had a sit down with the 2010 incoming teabagger congress in order to let them know they would block any and all legislation of the President's.

Had their tax exempt status revoked, did they?
