Anyone else get an email from the party titled "all hope is lost"?

I just did. I mean, it made me open it, but damn, really?

(It was just another fundraising email with little more than "Republicans have more money than us", which is still a pretty far cry from "all hope is lost&quot .

And a bunch of emails from chain smoking pitbulls trying to get me to go to olive garden. But nothing like that.

I think these fundraising emails have totally jumped the shark. I'm a donor, but I'll be damned if I'll respond to that kind of cheap trick email. It's insulting.

Back during the Bush administration, I was called to be part of a focus group (via conference call) for the DCCC. It was all about what we would respond to in these kinds of letters. All my suggestions (such as: how we will spend your money) were met with total silence. People seemed to like the scream headlines. Whatever: they don't work on me. They just make me angry and insulted.

Since all hope is lost, there was no reason to waste my time even reading the silly thing.

I get fund raising appeals from several political organizations, and there is no one of them more clueless than the DCCC.

This morning we alerted you that Karl Rove’s group, American Crossroads, brought in $5.2 million last month -- more than they raised all last year. And that’s just one outside group.

We did some digging to find out how much Republican outside groups have spent so far, and the numbers aren’t good:

In total, Republican outside spending against us is over 47 million dollars this year. We’re officially being outspent 2-1. That’s scary.

If we don’t hit our $175,000 goal by midnight tonight, then consider all hope of winning a Democratic majority in November lost.

...approached, the frequency of the appeals really ramped up. One of he last days of March, I got 31 of them just during normal waking hours.
