Bundy is a Liar, Of Course ...

Local TV Station Sheds Doubt On Bundy's Claims About His Family Ranch

Cliven Bundy has trumpeted his "ancestral rights" in his land-use dispute with the federal government, but a report on Monday from a Nevada television station placed doubt on the defiant rancher's claims.

KLAS in Las Vegas obtained property records showing that Bundy's parents purchased the family's ranch in 1948. The Bunkerville, Nev. ranch has been the site of a tense standoff with the federal government over Bundy's use of land managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

Those records appear to contradict Bundy's own history of the ranch, as well as his biography.

"I've lived my lifetime here. My forefathers have been up and down the Virgin Valley here ever since 1877. All these rights that I claim, have been created through pre-emptive rights and beneficial use of the forage and the water and the access and range improvements," Bundy told KLAS before the government's round up began.

The standoff has made Bundy a hero among conservatives like Sean Hannity.

I think he is saying that his forefathers have lived in areas along the Virgin Valley and not necessarily on the spot in question.

The Right wing cottons to liars. They are co-dependent when it comes to lying.

What grates my cheese is that the media is not reporting all the facts behind this situation, like the information ( aka the factual truth) contained in the link above. Guess its not sexy enough.

Heard an interesting caller on the Stephanie Miller show this am who works with water management in Nevada who was giving some great local information on ranchers and ranching. He pointed out that the grazing fees collected go right back into land management and the committee members who manage the funds are the ranchers themselves.

Unfortunately, Ms Miller cut this caller off so she could go into an extended bit with the producer of Laugh In, a comedy show from the 70's. Yuck it up! Not sexy enough for her either I guess.

created farce in Bunkerville? Who is the puppet master? This whole story has the cloud of being created for someones political motives. Harry Reid aide appointed to run local BLM few days before events. BLM having issues in Iron County with Horse roundup,Teabillie Ranchers and County Commissioners want Range Rights for cattle not horses. Ordering horses to be rounded up by ranchers and that isn't pretty. By the way, just came back from a rock hounding run in western Iron County, this Range is totally shot, even the Cheat in SLCGrass has headed and gone dormant and it isn't May 1st. Did see a couple of herds of horses and they looked stressed. There was a so called meeting of Western Political Idiots in Salt Lake discussing ways of taking Federal Land for private use.

This whole farce has a Rovian smell to it. Prove me different.
