Elizabeth Warren on being "Hillary’s nightmare"

Elizabeth Warren: ‘I’m Not Running for President’

By Arlette Saenz

In an interview with ABC News, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., insisted she is not seeking a presidential bid despite suggestions that she could present a formidable threat to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“I’m not running for president,” Warren told ABC News’ David Muir in an interview at her home in Cambridge, Mass.

Asked about a recent story that suggested she is “Hillary’s nightmare,” Warren said, “I don’t get who writes these headlines or what they’re about. I think there’s just kind of a pundit world out there.”

“Do you think Hillary Clinton would make a good president?” Muir asked.

“I think Hillary Clinton is terrific,” Warren said. “We gotta stay focused on these issues right now.”

The article that Senator Warren just dismissed went viral. A lot of people are hanging their hopes on her changing her mind. Anything is possible for a campaign season that isn't going to officially kick into gear for another year and a half. Still, I hope Bernie Sanders and some others (like Governor O'Malley) run with the serious intent of winning. The fact is that sitting around holding out hope that Warren runs is basically leaving the door open to Hillary going unchallenged.

Her supporter think she is terrific and will make a great president, especially in these dark days.

Really says it all.
Elizabeth will not and should not run for President, this does not preclude her from supporting another candidate. Bernie Sanders or Governor O Malley.

In the words of Margaret Mead, "Never underestimate a post menopausal woman with zest."

She is just coming into her prime and I hope that you will do what you need to do to keep the next wave of republican horror.

so you are suggesting only Hillary can carry the general? Bernie would struggle as a socialist but O'Malley runs as a Democratic candidate. If he gets some traction the money will follow and then he can put on a campaign that will provide a win. Warren is too green (inexperienced) to run and win.

Warren has been firm about not running and about supporting Hillary Clinton. It would seem to me if she thought Hillary was a person who abbsolutely opposed Warren's ideas she would be a little less enthusiastic.

sometimes I'm very obtuse! I think that they will work VERY well together. One thing Hillary knows is how to fight the pukes and if she has the guiding hand of Warren, et al, we might make it through. But then, we are all going to die and basically are dead people walking, so none of it really matters in the end. I think it might be how we get on through the battles.

and she's right where she should be FOR NOW. I'd like to see her sponsor a boat-load of bills regulating the big banks and other lending institutions. I would also like the country to elect a boat-load of congressmen and senators to get whatever she sponsors passed.

Clinton is wonderful and available. Sanders is wonderful and if he were to move on to something else he would likely be replaced by a Democrat.
