PAPILLION, NE (KPTM) – A rescue group fears it won’t be able to continue to foster pets without owners much longer if it can’t get more donations.

The Homeward Bound in the Heartland is asking the public to donate dog and cat food, cat and puppy formula, animal toys, cat litter and any other basic needs to help foster its animals.

“Anything that will entertain a cat is a good thing,” said Karen Laikko who was fostering two cats.

Love the pictures of your sweet little Dug. These wonderful creatures give so much in return for the simple act of caring.
