This is the birth of a new phrase:
There is nothing that the kidz at Tiger Beat On The Potomac love more than accessorizing their favorite political action figures. Last week's stumbling goofball is this week's X Man. Consider, for example, this remarkably substance-free passage regarding the "makeover" of Rick Perry, whose 2012 presidential campaign is still moldering in a silo outside of Ottumwa as we speak.
This is writing that positively defies gravity. How did the reporter in question type this passage without floating up to the ceiling or straight out a window?
The problem, of course, with the whole raison d'erp of the piece is that, like Scott Walker and Chris Christie before him, Rick Perry has a bit of a grand-jury problem right now.

In the early months of 2014, his political team has booked him on one high-profile program after another: He's joked with Jimmy Kimmel, charmed the "Morning Joe" crowd and wowed the Conservative Political Action Conference. The Texas Republican's hip glasses are still earning approving media mentions long after he first donned them. And the possible 2016 candidate has spent time with early-state types in Iowa (and in late 2013, South Carolina), while also mixing it up in more exotic locales from Davos to Palau.
