The 75th anniversary of the publication of The Grapes of Wrath is marked on 14 April 2014. The photography of Dorothea Lange is as closely associated with American farmers' struggle against drought and dust in the Depression era as Steinbeck's Pulitzer prize winning novel. but there were more questions on peripheral knowledge about Steinbeck's other works. I only got 3 out of 10 on this quiz! We read "The Grapes of Wrath" in high school and I know that book pretty well, but I'm not so familiar with his other novels. I don't know shit about which awards he won. He was a great writer, but I've never made any effort to read all of his books. Maybe I should.
