Just finished my first precinct door to door canvassing for Wendy Davis

This round concentrated on Democrats to recruit volunteers for the larger block walks and phone banks that are coming soon. People were very encouraged to see that Wendy is this organized this early and taking the fight to the enemy and excited about being part of it.

Disclaimer - I gave up posting for Lent but couldn't wait to share some encouraging news.

Also Texas Dems: please share this on facebook. It even has some of my repub friend pissed at Abbott.

We had teams out in my county. I am fighting off a sore throat but will be block walking prior to primary runoff

is just too republican which may be true but if we ever get power there it will happen by little steps over a long period.

Harris County elected Obama both times. We have a gay mayor. My Wendy sign was not the first on my block. Abbott has been doing everything wrong. Hopefully that helps Wendy.
