US would be no better place to live than the rest of the 3rd world countries. Opportunity and decent living standards for many Americans would decline rapidly. And low wage jobs would be the order of the day.

This is why the idea that someone like Rand Paul actually has a real shot at becoming President scares the shit out of me. Combine that with a super majority in Congress and the Senate, they will reverse all of Obama's policies and they'll throw labor relations back to the stone age, so their billionaire financers can buy more yachts.
