The Supreme Court decides what is legal and what is illegal. Acting contrary to the Supreme Court is, by definition, illegal. Presidents who engage in illegal acts will rapidly find themselves thrown out of office.

5. Actually the Supreme Court should not be making laws nor should the President.

Congress makes the laws. I don't think the Supreme Court really has the jurisdiction to hear this and change it, but of course it seems they are becoming unelected lawmakers.

He will not be able to ignore a ruling overturning the mandate.

Did they not teach you in school about the three branches of government, and that we don't have dictators for president?

What if a future (Republican) president decided to ignore Supreme Court rulings and, say, decided to act against Roe v. Wade or some other court decision?
