Getting PTSD after exposure to an extreme trauma wouldn't be a factor preventing Zimmerman from acting knowingly and willfully.
Because PTSD is sometimes associated with memory loss, it might be argued that such a memory loss (if proven) might make it impossible for Zimmerman to participate in his own defense.
HOWEVER, according to what I've read, Zimmerman claimed Trayvon went for Zimmerman's gun, which seems to suggest the presence of memory of the events rather than amnesia.
