Beware!!! Local Independent Insurance brokers are blaming Obama for premium

increases... People in their 50”s see tremendous increases in their premiums, I mean I easily experienced 15-20% when I first hit my 50s.. These extraordinary increases come unexpectedly,, so obviously they ask their brokers why.. Instead of telling them the truth about huge incremental increases...Its been that way for years, they blame it on Obamacare..

We need to call them out on this lie...it will be an issue in Nov..

1. Indeed, I expect EVERY standard insurance company bullshit to now be blamed on the ACA

Particularly from people who have never dealt with an insurance company before.

The company I was working for was ACA-bashing, siding with the insurance companies, who were telling them that rates were going up because of Obamacare. And these haters just ate that shit up. They didn't take their employees side because they hate Obama. Why question insurance companies, Obama did it, of course!

This was 3 years ago.

My relative was told that by her insurance broker, and he recommended she not even bother with ACA. He said ACA "was not going to last."

7. I'm 59, and my premiums dropped 60% when we purchased through the ACA. . .

I receive no subsidy. But I had seen premium increases of 7% to 40% for the past 20 years. Couple passing 50 with developing a medical condition and watch the premiums fly. It's like dropping a Mentos in a Coke.

But somehow I'm afraid they aren't.

They don't seem to get that the insurance companies aren't their friends despite the big gift they got from Obamacare.

The effect of Obamacare on my employer based plan has been a crushing blow to us. He guaranteed big insurance a half trillion dollars a year legally - they are going to get it from someone.
