The 60 Plus Association is running ads against Senator Manchin

in WV claiming he supports Obama on some government takeover of home mortgages. They say it is a government take over of home mortgages like Obamacare was with health care. I looked up the 60 Plus Association and I see it is supposed to be a non partisan organization for retired people. Of course Pat Boone is their spokesman and they only support Republicans.
What is this government takeover of mortgages anyway?

I saw the same ads today in North Carolina concerning Senator Kay Hagan. Koch is spending 7 million in this state to defeat her.

As a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization, 60 Plus is not required to disclose the sources of its funding, and it does not. The Center for Responsive Politics, however, has identified major sources of funding for 60 Plus by reviewing the IRS filings of its contributors.
Between 2009 and 2012, 60 Plus received nearly $16. 7 million from the Center to Protect Patient Rights (now called American Encore), a conservative group with ties to Republican mega-donors Charles and David Koch. In 2012, the group received more than $15.6 million from Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, a conservative group that spent $238 million during that year’s elections. And it also received nearly $4.6 million from the American Future Fund in 2012 and $4.1 million from the now defunct TC4 Trust in 2011. American Future Fund and TC4 Trust have been linked to the billionaire Koch brothers, as well.

not all that liberal and progressive and not regressive enough to be elected as republican.

If anything he needs to be primaried by a liberal/progressive too.

We can no longer afford to vote for those in the mushy middle, people need to pick a side and as has been famously said..."Nothing but Road Kill in the middle of the road"

The republicans are proving that they can control the government in the minority with the help of a few democrats and an unwavering base.

Real change is going to take some party purity whether people like it or not.

Instead time and resources will be wasted trying to get him and those like him on board with good liberal progressive legislation to only have the good portions removed and the crap portions to remain.
1 asshole DINO Senator, Baucus, pretty much killed the public option.

A vote for non liberal non progressive Democrats still results in republican Policies.

It is almost like the people of WVA want to be killed by corporations seeing that that is what they vote for time and time again, leaders in all levels of state and federal government that will keep them poor and sick.
