(33,688 posts)Mickey Mouse was a gormless twit. Who wanted to be a gormless twit? Bugs, on the other hand, was his own rabbit, never took shit from anyone, was smart as hell and never at a loss for words. Messing with Bugs was a sure way to reach a bad end. I wanted so much to be just like Bugs when I was a kid, and even today.
I think my childhood admiration of Bugs was the reason I liked Groucho Marx so much when I discovered the Marx Bros. in my teen years. Bugs and Groucho were cut from the same cloth.
