When I googled information on the Fort Hood shooting I found something interesting, most of the articles were posted in the last few minutes but two of them were published yesterday before the shooting had even happened. Those articles were from Fox News and the Wahington Times.
I am not trying to start any conspiracy theories here as I just found these articles and I don't know if any media sources outside the right-wing picked up on these, but it certainly appears that someone passed a pretty big tip on to Fox News and the Washington Times...

Federal agents are actively seeking out a former Army recruit they believe is plotting a Fort Hood-inspired jihad against U.S. soldiers, they said.
The FBI sent out an alert for a man they identified as Booker, based on statements his friends made that he was intending to commit jihad, Fox News reported. The suspect also goes by Muhammad Abdullah Hassan.
He was recruited in February into the U.S. Army in Kansas City, Mo., and was supposed to have reported for duty at basic training on April 7, agents said. But after authorities learned of his alleged jihad, they discharged him, Fox News reported. Now both the FBI and the 902nd Military Intelligence Group at Fort Leavenworth are seeking his location.
The FBI alert was distributed throughout the U.S. Marine Corps and sent to the Kansas City Police Department. Its titled Planned Fort Hood-inspired Jihad against US Soldiers by Army Recruit, and it was sent out to inform and protect officers who may encounter this individual or others exhibiting the same aspirations.

EXCLUSIVE: The FBI is searching for a recent Army recruit believed to be planning a "Fort Hood-inspired jihad against U.S. soldiers," FoxNews.com has learned.
The alert, whose legitimacy was confirmed by military and law enforcement officials, stated that a man identified as Booker had told friends of his "intention to commit jihad." Booker, who is also known as Muhammad Abdullah Hassan, was recruited by the U.S. Army in Kansas City, Mo., in February 2014 and was scheduled to report for basic training on April 7. But he was discharged last week, apparently after law enforcement authorities learned of his alleged plan.
The alert, a copy of which was obtained by FoxNews.com, was sent out by the FBI's Kansas City Division on Friday and distributed through the U.S. Marine Corps. The portion obtained by FoxNews.com did not include Hassan's photo or age. It was also sent to the Kansas City Police Department, which could indicate authorities believe he may have remained in the area where he was recruited.

I don't like linking to Fox and the Washington Times, but it sure appears that they had some inside information that this attack was going to happen.

(12,041 posts)It seems like a pretty huge coincidence for Fox to be reporting on a Fort Hood like shooting being planned and then there is a shooting at Fort Hood the very next day. If that is a coincidence it is one hell of a huge coincidence.

(9,462 posts)that BOLOs were more common than people think. I doubt the two things are related, but that still means there is a guy out there planning a jihad type attack. Maybe this event will help locate the Booker character.
