Non-terrorism, just a soldier who got in a dispute...

and in the course of that dispute he killed three people, wounded fourteen people, and died himself. Nothing to be alarmed about, officials say... just "soldier on soldier" violence. (According to CNN. No idea if the numbers are real. It's CNN.)

Wow. That is quite a "dispute"

I am intrigued by the notion that there is, "nothing to be worried about," if the shooter doesn't happen to be Muslim.

Myself, I find soldiers of any faith in the US just kind of opening fire on everybody worrisome.

CNN guest keeping it CNN-real announced the shooters name, then said, "of course that isn't confirmed." (So I will not pass it along.)

So a gun that was issued to him? Or one he bought at Guns Galore in Killeen? Loudly Apr 2014 #1
Probably the later. I think Ft. Hood is much less gun-toting than the rest of Texas. cthulu2016 Apr 2014 #2

Soldiers rarely, if ever, are cleared to take service weapons into a base hospital.

... to establish jurisdiction and control. This is a very specific policy that is a result of the clusterfuck the last incident spawned. The last time every SWAT team and Constable for 50 miles arrived and tried to get into the act. This time, the III Corps and Fort Hood Commander is going to remain in control.
