Easter Egg Hunt Canceled Due To Aggressive Parents

Organizers of an annual Easter egg hunt in Colorado attended by hundreds of children have canceled this year's event, citing the behavior of aggressive parents who swarmed into the tiny park last year, determined that their kids get an egg.

That hunt was over in seconds, to the consternation of egg-less tots and their own parents. Too many parents had jumped a rope set up to allow only children into Bancroft Park in a historic area of Colorado Springs.

"They couldn't resist getting over the rope to help their kids," said Ron Alsop, a former Wall Street Journal reporter and author of The Trophy Kids Grow Up, which examines the "millennial children" generation.

for the amount of children expected. I remember the same thing happening almost thirty years ago. Not enough eggs and kids fighting and parents getting mad.

Somebody would start picking a lot up and then everybody would. They would still be gone in seconds IMHO.
Eleventy billion eggs wouldn't be enough.

also the candy easter eggs were gross. I think I tried eating one when I was tiny and was so disgusted I never did it again. And I was never a picky eater. Gross. Also, the cadbury c*m filled eggs? Also, very gross. Zombie Jesus inspires the worst candy.

they have it sectioned off by age group. every kid gets one egg. There is one golden egg. They turn them in and get a chocolate bunny and the golden egg gets a basket or some such thing. Hope to go this year with the kids.
