This guy is a friend of Zimmerman's HOW exactly? He's in his 50's. I'm guessing he's an acquaintance of Zimmerman's DAD who has the means to hire convenient media friends/spokes liars. "Oliver's wife is a close friend of Zimmerman's mother in law" is how I saw their relationship explained.

So this "former anchor man" wants to get back on the teevee and gets an unofficial gig from the Zimmermans to be the Best Black Friend.

Excuse my cynicism but I would be shocked if there was a photo of those two ever hanging out together!

Also the "goon can be a term of endearment" thing caused a laff riot with everyone I was watching with. This guy is such a tool! Fakey McFake-Fake!

3. I notice that the people speaking on behalf of him don't seem that close to him.

For instance, there was a voicemail that Zimmerman left for the neighbor who first defended him. Zimmerman says thank you to the guy for helping him and says sorry for his son's death. The guy's son died 3 years ago. If he knew Zimmerman so well and they were close friends, wouldn't Zimmerman had already known that info?
